New singjay Kurency’s upcoming, and second, single on legendary King Addies’ TruMoneyMusiq record label celebrates and gives hope to everyone who has ever had to fight their way to goals, All Alone.

 

Known throughout his adolescent years in his Trinityville, St. Thomas community as “the yute weh can deejay”, Kurency didn’t officially begin his music journey until 2014, when he officially began writing songs.  He later competed at JCDC’s St Thomas regional in 2018, and although he gained fans outside of St. Thomas at the Kingston competition he didn’t get his big break.

 

Believing in his heart that his silky voice has a special place in todays music landscape, Kurency pressed forward then crossed paths with fellow St. Thomas native, and dancehall producer, Swagg Records in 2019.

 

After releasing his first song with Swagg Records, Epic Life in 2019, the pair went on to release his Stay Woke EP, as well as a few singles, Squeeze, Young & Rich and When I in 2020.

 

Other producers he’s worked with over the years includes: Live Wire, Drizzy Beats, Bragga Phillips, Chippy Beats, Bone Thugs Records, Wow Records, Shockwave Records, Crow Records, and Garrison Records.

 

However, 2021 officially marked the dawn of his inevitable international breakthrough, with the release of Pull Up song and accompanying visuals on Neco G’s trendy Night Beach Riddim, which officially dropped on New York’s legendary King Addies/TruMoneyMusiq (TMM) record label in Spring 2021.

 

On April 22nd, yet another blazing Kurency single debuted on Hot97, All Alone, which remained in rotation on Bobby Konders' Fire Sunday's program for 8 weeks. An uplifting track by the singjay, Sun City invited the artist to perform at the Seaforth Highschool leg of their annual Highschool DJ competition on April 29th.

 

Now signed for a 10-song deal and gearing up for a barrage of song releases on the TMM label, when asked what Kurency is all about, he stated “Im fighting for every youth…for them to wise up. Master your craft and go for what you want. Fight ago forward so you have to push on. The world is big and I want to be an example to the youths in my community and show them what’s possible”.
